To get practice on a real world project, I worked with a family friend who needed a website for their local handyman business. The entire process was a valuable learning experience, from dealing with client feedback, to clear communication, to intentional design decisions.
Starting out, I expected this site to take less than a week to finish. It ended up being much longer that, as there were specialized features I wanted to include that required hand-coded components.
The component that took the longest to create was the price estimator, but it was a great learning experience and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
